Idyllic Italy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. The personal information you have provided will be used for the purposes of delivering bookings of the Property and also to provide such other forms of information and reports as may be required by the Company from time to time. Idyllic Italy shall share Personal Data with the manager of the villa rental (The local contact on your accommodation voucher) with the purpose of managing the bookings and to enable the manager to provide various other Additional Services to our Customers and to register our clients with the local Authorities to pay the tourist tax and to register our clients with the local police as requested by law.

Idyllic Italy Ltd do not sell, trade or rent the personal details you have provided to us to any third party without your express consent.

Types of personal data collected by Idyllic Italy

We may need to process the following types of Personal Data on behalf of the Company:

Financial Data: This include data relating to your means and methods of payment, such as your bank account and payment card details
Transaction data: This includes data relating to the transactions you have carried out with us, such as details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
Marketing and Communications Data: This includes your preferences in relation to whether or not you want to receive marketing from us and our third parties and also your communication preferences.
As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns.

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.
Purpose of using your data

When you, as a Guest, submit a booking request, certain information about you is shared with the manager of the property you have booked, including your full name, your passport details that by Italian law have to be registered by the manager with the local authorities. We shall also ask for the full name of all additional Guests and their nationalities again to be shared with the manager and registered by the manager with the local authorities, and any other information you agree to share to facilitate your stay at the property you have rented. I.e. extra services, as requests for babysitting, shopping and cooks with your personal preferences as allergies.

If you are a property owner, we may need to verify your identity, your date of birth, your address, email address, phone number and other information in order to check your identity, to provide the payment services to you, and to comply with applicable laws.

When you as a property owner have a confirmed booking, certain information is shared with the guest to coordinate the booking, such as your full name and your contact details. Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.

Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.
Where, after staying at a property, you write Reviews and Ratings about the property and any wider services provided.
If you submit a review through Trustpilot or Upfront reviews, our website or via email your feedback shall be visible on the our web site and also visible on the Feefo web site and both content are again publicly visible.
Generally we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data other than in relation to sending direct marketing communications to you via email. You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us.

Third Parties

We may have to share your personal data with the parties set out below. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Local police and local courts, where you have booked a property with us and we are therefore under a legal obligation to do disclose your data to such parties. Similarly, we may be under a legal obligation to disclose your personal data to the local authority in the area in which you have made a booking of one of our properties, in order to facilitate the collection and remittance of Tourist Taxes by the property manager. Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS: This site (www.idyllicitaly.co.uk) uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google utilises the data collected to track and examine the use of our website, to make reports on activities conducted on the site and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.

Data retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. by law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.
