In our opinion, Villa Madonna is one of the best villas to rent in Lucca. Situated in one of the premier positions within the Lucchese countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty yet only 10 Km from the ancient walled city of Lucca and 3 Km from the village of Ponte a Moriano. This wonderful villa is part of a Tuscan country estate which originally dates back to the 17th century. The property is completely independent and sits upon a hilltop offering incredible views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards and olive groves across to the Serchio river. The beautiful, bright interiors are comfortably furnished to a high standard. The owner has 13 young grandchildren and has gone to great lengths to ensure the property is safe for young children. Villa Madonna is well-equipped with an i-pod docking station, air-con in the bedrooms, wi-fi and a private, fenced pool which can be heated. Ping pong table for your enjoyment. The house is south facing with a large landscaped sun terrace looking over the Estate’s olive groves – the perfect spot to sit enjoying a delicious Italian meal and local wine whilst watching the sun set. The landscaped garden is delightfully planted with herbs and roses a very quiet and peaceful area for relaxation.

Guests can cycle to Lucca along the river bank and even the golden beaches of Versilia are only 30 minutes by car. Amenities such as shops and restaurants are located in the nearest village of ‘Ponte a Moriano’ which is an easy 3-4 kilometre drive or lovely walk through the olive grove. There are some excellent local trattorias within easy reach and there is a cook service available at a reasonable rates.

Villa Madonna has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, using the best traditional materials and outstanding furnishings and equipment, terra cotta floors and exposed Chestnut beam ceilings.
