This charming villa rental in Tuscany is located in the Maulina hills on a vast Tuscan estate, only 4 km from the walled city of Lucca. The area is famous for its wine and is known as one of the most exclusive residential zones surrounding the historic city. A tennis court is within walking distance at 500 metres, and riding stables are easily reached 5 km away. The property includes wi-fi and satellite TV, and cook service and wine tasting tours are available.
Situated on the same estate as another villa, the house was originally one of the farmers’ residences. It has been fully restored, and the interiors are furnished with original pieces of Tuscan furniture, maintaining the property’s authentic character. One of the rooms has facilities for disabled guests, and all bedrooms are en-suite. Both the garden and swimming pool are positioned on the opposite side of the other villa to ensure total privacy.
The location is ideal for those seeking a peaceful setting while remaining close to a town, with the medieval walled centre of Lucca only 10 minutes away. At just 6 km from the nearest motorway exit, the villa also serves as a convenient base for visiting the main towns of Tuscany. A tennis club is within walking distance, and the caretakers live on the estate in a separate apartment.

Villa Maulina is a charming, comfortable farmhouse. The layout is perfect for family members with limited mobility as there are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the ground floor. One bathroom is equipped with a roll in shower for a wheelchair if needed. Anna and Filippo are perfect hosts. They are very responsive to requests for help. We enjoyed the large pool and eating out on the terrace. Anna prepared two excellent meals for us - antipasto, first dish, second dish and dessert. Yum!

Arrival time is on Saturday between 4 pm and 7 pm (after 8 pm a fee of € 50 is required and after 10 pm the fee is € 100. Any late arrival has to be agreed in advance).

Tourist tax is applied in most Italian municipalities. This tax is by law to be fully paid by the holidaymakers. The amount varies from municipality to municipality and it must be paid upon arrival directly to the caretaker /owner. Unfortunately, the amount may be subject to change even after the booking is confirmed.
